You will be part of our development of camera-based safety systems, accelerating the growth in Autonomous Driving. Camera calibration is an important topic within Computer Vision, and the functional performance of our ADAS and AD applications are highly dependent on accurate calibration at all times as it translates observations made in the images into real world coordinates.
You will develop state-of-the-art calibration algorithms and frameworks to identify the geometric characteristics of the image creation process for both development and product platforms. Calibration is a vital step to perform in our Computer Vision applications in terms of:
Ensuring accurate positioning of all camera functions that output data in real world coordinates
Ensuring accurate ground truth for precise annotation of data used for development and validation, including reference sensor cross-calibration
Determining lens properties and exact 6D mounting position for each individual camera at production
Enabling fusion with data from Lidar, Radar and other onboard sensors
Ensuring consistency in a multicamera set-up where many cameras together cover a 360° surround view around the vehicle.
Providing online (dynamic calibration) and offline tools for calibration, including monitoring and validation of calibration status
The team is responsible for developing calibration routines and assists in using calibration rigs to set up vehicles in our test fleet. The team also develops its own and the organization's expertise within the domain via the Calibration Community of Practice, for example providing training in using calibration rigs.

We continue to expand our Ground Truth teams in Linköping, Lund and Stockholm and are looking for senior sensor engineer with deep knowledge in camera, lidar and INS and with a team mindset.
Who we are
Qualcomm Inc. is fully focused on developing vision perception and drive policy software for the next generation advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) in vehicles. The perception functionality will be shipped with the Qualcomm Snap Dragon Ride as part of the Digital Chassis Platforms.
We are situated across three continents, USA, Europe and Asia. In Sweden, we employ more than 500 people in mainly four cities - Linköping, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Lund.
Within our area Ground Truth, we are organized in cross-functional agile teams developing functions both for ground truth generation and in-car perception functions. While each team member contributes with their own skills and experience, the team cooperates to perform all parts of the development lifecycle. In close collaboration with different stakeholders, new software and algorithms are developed to full-fill functional specifications and the definition of done.
Our teams in Sweden, Germany, Romania and US innovate at the frontiers of engineering using technologies such as deep learning, tracking and 3D reconstruction with lidar.
Who are you?
We are now looking for innovative and motivated individual with strong background in sensor engineering for automated driving perception software. You will work with and analyze state of the art sensors, securing their calibrations and synchronized fusion. You are a senior developer, with work experience, who already know how to take an idea and concept and make it into a real deployable feature with the right quality.
You are used to work in an agile iterative development process with backlogs and sprints, doing continuous refinements, breaking down epics into achievable stories and performing retrospectives to grow and learn both as individual and in a team. You know how to complete and support software releases and can if needed tackle late incoming change requests to reach desired goals.

What you'll do?
You will be part of our development of camera-based safety systems, accelerating the growth in Autonomous Driving. Camera calibration is an important topic within Computer Vision, and the functional performance of our ADAS and AD applications are highly dependent on accurate calibration at all times as it translates observations made in the images into real world coordinates.
You will develop state-of-the-art calibration algorithms and frameworks to identify the geometric characteristics of the image creation process for both development and product platforms. Calibration is a vital step to perform in our Computer Vision applications in terms of:
• Ensuring accurate positioning of all camera functions that output data in real world coordinates
• Ensuring accurate ground truth for precise annotation of data used for development and validation, including reference sensor cross-calibration
• Determining lens properties and exact 6D mounting position for each individual camera at production
• Enabling fusion with data from Lidar, Radar and other onboard sensors
• Ensuring consistency in a multicamera set-up where many cameras together cover a 360? surround view around the vehicle.
• Providing online (dynamic calibration) and offline tools for calibration, including monitoring and validation of calibration status

The team is responsible for developing calibration routines and assists in using calibration rigs to set up vehicles in our test fleet. The team also develops its own and the organization’s expertise within the domain via the Calibration Community of Practice, for example providing training in using calibration rigs.
You will be working together with specialists in a variety of technical domains to deliver our most central system functions for ADAS and AD such as Vehicle, Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Lane and Road Boundary Detection, Static Object Detection, Traffic Sign and Traffic Light Detection.

What you'll do?
An Area Product Owner (APO) specializes in a Requirement Area (RA) and owns the product backlog for that RA. We are now setting up a new RA working with application specific adaptions of enabling systems such as Software in the Loop (SiL) Hardware in the loop (HiL) Visualization and data collection. Arriver Perception product line is composed of two parts: Core and Application. Core is responsible for delivering a platform software stack of computer vision algorithms, whereas Application is responsible for customer communication and integrating Core software stack to Customer. The Function Owner (FO) role is operatively working in the Application part ensuring strong link between customer expectations and Core deliveries. In addition, the FO is an important stakeholder to the Core development teams.
What you'll do?
You will work in an Application project with the goal to understand and align Core software with end-customer needs. In particular, you will:
Acting as one of the stakeholders towards the Core Teams
- Identify key use cases by the customer relevant for development.
- Take part of key Core development events, such as Epic Refinement and Ready (to set the expectations), and Epic Closure (to ensure stakeholder requirements are fulfilled)
Be the Arriver interface towards the customer function team
- Hold customer meetings to ensure alignment between Arriver and the customer
- Organize test campaigns and workshops
Link core deliveries with Application
- Setup dialog with Core Area Product Owner and leadership team to ensure that Core Area is responding to customer need.
- Managing stakeholder requirements and acting as stakeholder requirement expert towards Core
- Compiling process-oriented metrics on stakeholder-level for the owned function
Release handling
- Update Application release notes according to customer specific missions and metrics
- Adapt Core KPIs and other metrics to customer expectations
- Verify Application KPI reports
Customer problem reports
- Compilation of uniquely prioritized list of open problem reports
- Verifying fixed problem reports together with the customer
Change requests
- Ensure that use cases are clearly stated in change request description
- Act as driver for analyzing effort and cost for realizing the change request

What you'll do?
You will work across the entire Perception organization and take ownership of our tool development process, methods, and strategy. You will be working in the Perception Pre-Development department together with specialists in a variety of technical domains in order to help deliver next generation perception software stacks and perception systems.
Our software stacks are central in the ADAS/AD system in the vehicle, delivering perception functions like Vehicle, Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Lane and Road Boundary Detection, Freespace and Hazard detection, Traffic Sign and Traffic Light Detection, and lots more. As Consultant Staffing Manager you will focus on securing consultant staffing from a strategic perspective. This means that you will be responsible for:

You will develop calibration algorithms and frameworks to identify the geometric characteristics of the image creation process for both development and product platforms. Calibration is a vital step to perform in our Computer Vision applications in terms of;

- Ensuring accurate ground truth for precise annotation of data used for development and validation, including reference sensor cross-calibration
- Knowing the exact mounting orientation and lens properties for each individual camera is essential to be able to control the vehicle in a safe and precise way
- Enabling fusion of data from Lidar, Radar and other onboard sensors
- Providing online (dynamic calibration) and offline tools for calibration, including monitoring and validation of calibration status


The team is responsible for developing calibration routines and assists in using calibration rigs to set up vehicles in our test fleet.

The team also develops its own and the organization’s expertise within the domain via the Calibration Community of Practice, for example providing training in using calibration rigs.

We are looking to hire a complete Application Project Staff team for a lead customer project based on our next generation Perception platform (AVP5), to the Perception organization. We give you the chance to join this adventure

Are you our new Functional Safety Lead?

As a Functional Safety (FuSa) lead you report to the Application Project Manager for the project and to the Manager Application Staff via the line organization.

Within your specific area you ensure that the organization is coordinated and that key metrics for the program are monitored. As FuSa lead, you guide the teams and ensure that the relevant artifacts are produced on time and with adequate quality at release. We are now in an expansive phase and are looking for Senior Software Engineers in Development Enablers who can strengthen our Core organization for ongoing and upcoming collaborative driving projects.

We work in cross functional agile teams consisting of 5-8 members developing functions into our Perception Products. While each team member contributes with their own skills and experience, the team cooperates to perform the different steps in development. The teams are responsible for all steps in development, including system work, implementation, and verification.

Our teams innovate at the frontiers of engineering in computer vision using technologies such as machine learning, tracking and 3D reconstruction.

What you'll do?

You will be part of development in our Ground Truth Area, developing tools that enables large scale accurate ground truth. Ground truth is becoming a very important part of Arriver as access to good data is a critical part of the product and an important piece to secure our competitive advantage.

We are looking for you who have long experience of Software Development, preferably in C++, Python and Matlab which we use for development of our target code.

As deep learning and CNNs are becoming more and more important in our product, we are also looking for you who have practical experience in machine learning, preferably in deep learning frameworks.

We work in an agile framework inspired by LESS and work in 3-week scrum sprints. You will be involved in several of the following tasks.

- Algorithm development within the area of signal and image processing
- Development of our deep learning framework
- Design, training and evaluation of our deep neural networks
- Requirements work on system and SW development
- Signal processing of gps, lidar and camera sensors
- Sensor calibration
- Visualization of ground truth
- Data Management

- Interface with our internal customers
- Lead your own and the team´s work forward, by exploring new ideas and experiment for the benefit of the product, the team and yourself

What you'll bring:

To succeed in this position, we believe you have more than one of the following capabilities:

- A Master of Science in machine learning, image- or signal processing, computer science or equivalent area
- Experience of working with sensors (preferably gps, cameras or lidar)
- Several years of experience of development in software industry
- Algorithm development experience within the area of signal and image processing, and its real-time hardware implementation
- Software and system level testing experience
- Software development experience with great interest in programming, preferably in C and Python
