Saab AB is looking for a customs specialist to strengthen the Customs & Transportation group at Business Area Aeronautics. In this role you will ensure compliance and good support to the Business Areas within the customs field. Finding cost efficient solutions in line with Saab´s business plan is an important part of this position. In this role you will participate in the realization of the future logistics flow from a customs perspective together with a growing company with increased international footprint and increased business complexity.
Your role
In this position, you will play a key role within the organization regarding customs compliance and support the business areas with queries relating to this area - always with the aim to find cost efficient solutions and generate savings in customs expenditure. You will ensure that all customs duties are optimized.
The main tasks of the role include the following:
* Saab AB has outsourced the daily transport and customs administration/operation to an external partner for import and export customs clearance, transportation bookings and invoice management. In your role, you have to secure that our partner has access to relevant systems, information and support so they can deliver according to agreement
* It´s also your responsibility to secure compliance, have contact with our partner and customs authorities. Together with the Saab team you will optimize supply chain from a customs perspective and contribute to create a competitive future supply chain solution for Saab AB
* Ensure routines and compliance with customs legislation and AEO certification, manage and implement processes related to customs permits and simplified procedures to minimize customs costs in cooperation with Group Tax
* Monitor, follow up, analyze and report ongoing activities and also develop KPI´s in order to find synergies and harmonize this area to be able to develop procedures for Saab AB's customs handling
* Classify parts in Saab business systems with customs statistics number will be a common part of your daily work
* Information and knowledge sharing from the field of customs to Saab Business areas and Group functions
Your profile
To be successful in this role, you have experience within the field of customs compliance. You have good IT skills (Excel, ERP) and the ability to prepare and process data to report on trends and common themes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English is a requirement. It is also desirable that you have a degree in a relevant area - law, economics, industrial economy, engineering or within the customs field.
You have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop relationships and keep good cooperation with your stakeholders. You have a pragmatic and analytic approach, solution driven using creative and diverse ways to approach a challenge. You demonstrate confidence, credibility and have a personal maturity with good judgment. It´s desirable if you have an understanding and experience within supply chain.
As a person, you like to develop the ways of working and you get energy to work with continuous improvements and strive for an optimized future logistic flow from a customs perspective in line with Saab´s business plan.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
